dry and slick about 5 laps into practice. Track was one lane and had a bunch of dust laying on it. As soon as it cleaned off it took rubber, hoping this isn't going to be the deal all week

Well that's disappointing. Just shows how many tracks don't take track prep seriously and just keep on doing it as long as the cash cow keeps showing profit.

You can prep the surface at East Bay for 24 hours a day, it will never be a surface like other parts of the country have. We've just got crappy "dirt" here.

Heard in a interview that their were only 8 lates at practice. That is why they did not water it.

Agreed the dirt in Florida has always been pretty different than other places a lot of lime rock and grey pipe clay
