You will need some blood pumping down there Saturday night I been there and it looks like the winter freeze will stand up to its name with a real feel of 14. Last time I went the wind was blowing 35 all day and at night gusting to 50, looks like only 15 mph Saturday night. The stands were empty half way through the program, good luck and take a propane heater with 2 big heads. lol

Fwiw, a decent ezup tent, a propane heater as described and a roll of plastic sheeting makes for a very nice warm zone to escape too on a cold race night like that.

We have set that little rig up at many a racetrack and other outdoor events to get in to someplace warm and dry.........the thicker the mill of the plastic the better, the clear is better than the dark so that the sun can shine through during the day and produce natural heat.

Just set the tent up, wrap sides in the plastic leaving you a doorway to get in , throw in the heater ,a couple of good outdoor chairs and it's great.

Y'all have fun......I froze down in Brunswick all last week.

How is the track setup as far as the grandstands? Do they have pit side stands or just on the front stretch

Saturday times have been pushed back as well. Hot laps set to start at 5 PM.

There are grandstands on both sides of the track as well as in turn 1. All tickets are pit passes. Big Drag race and kart race going on Saturday as well. One price admission gives you all access.

Also add Tristan Sealy, Jason Covert and Pancho Lawler to the drivers lists.

Last year it was very cold at Screven, but they do have a few burn barrels in place on the back stretch that are perfect. Bundle up and I would recommend a full face boggin, but its well worth it for the racing!

My hike has begun. Leaving MD and should be at Screven by 5. Think I packed enough crap with me that ill be set for just about any weather.
