W2Racing09, I think what he said, really separates what little if any knowledge he has about DIRT RACING. This is part of the reason we go to watch Dirt Racing. Is to see slide jobs, successful or not.

Clanton/Shaw deal was junk. He passed him clean. There is another pedal in the car besides the gas. If you hit someone in the rear after they pass you maybe you should have checked up. That's part of a slide job, turn down and try to slid them the next corner

So now we are limiting the way people have to complete a pass on the track? The drivers didn't seem too upset about it but here you are complaining as usual.

It isn't always that simple. Sometimes checking up on a cushion will cause you to wreck. Different people have different etiquette on the deal. Odds are if you cause someone to have to hit the brakes to avoid contact, a lot of guys will at least jack you up a bit. You have to live with that.

On some track surfaces that is just how you have to do it. Of course Richards could have made some passes without needing to slide job -- but he wouldn't have won the race if he didn't come up through the field as fast as he did (by sliding). He only had a few laps to spare at the end.

If all of the drivers decided to just take it easy and settle for 4th place racing would be a lot less popular than it is.

Actually , no...........it's not been a year.

And really no point in moving on if the same type stuff is happening.........people are griping about slide jobs and rough driving.

None of that has really changed..........other than now he has a piece that he doesn't need to do that stupid stuff every single time.

All I'm saying is that drivers that continually rough drive and beat and bang on people shouldn't be real surprised when they get punched in the face.

They should accept some of that responsibility.

Eventually somebody is gonna punch his ticket with him throwing unnecessary sliders the way he does, He's fast enough to make a pass without doing it on every single pass. Eventually he'll learn the same lesson Shane Clanton did at the Wild west Shootout a couple of weeks ago. Whomp! There it Is!!! and you are on your lid, guess daddy will have to build another one. So it's ok for some guys to slide people but josh isn't suppose to... Guess you haven't watched Davenport, Lanigan or Oneal lately Josh is no different than they are. You need to quit watching dirt and go watch some pavement races. Maybe you should attend a few WOO sprint races so you can see slide jobs are part of dirt racing. As for Clanton and Shaw that was all Shaws fault. Clanton cleared him and Shaw drove right in to him. I guess you use to work for AFCO in the early 2000's. Are you still in the shock business' because if you are you should reserve your personal comments on a public forum it isn't good for business., If you are still in the shock business and if you were good at it you wouldn't have time to be bashing people on 4m.

If Clanton clears Shaw cleanly, then Shaw should never hit Clanton. I hate the slide job that takes away the momentum of the guy being passed, nothing clean or sporti,g about it

Actually in post 24, w2 was replying to my post about the face punch...........which clearly didn't happen in screven and completely blows up your cute calendar comment.

what had been brought up was the unnecessary rough driving on Josh's part to get to the front..........last year in the inferior car, maybe.......this year the car is great , so why bother?
