There is still no reason to hit someone with your car. It doesn't matter what happened before, that's uncalled for. Didn't we as a sport learn something from the Tony Stewart incident?
Madden runs over bloomers crew chief

I haven't seen pictures or video of the incident but based on the account posted on DoD, Madden needs more than a DQ for punishment. I don't care who it is, you DO NOT use your car as a weapon on a pedestrian. I like Madden, but there is no excuse for that.

Not sure where everyone was when this happened. There was not as many people over there as has said they were there. Both were at fault but this is a race track for cars. Too many bikes and 4 wheelers in such a small area. Its kinda like that form you sign to get in the pits. If ancar flies up and hits someone, then is it assault with a deadly weapon? People just have to use their heads. Don't be wreckless with your car. Don't go flying across the pits on a mini bike and think just because you work for Bloomer, you are invinceable

I haven't read Ray's rules, but in most cases they always say drivers are responsible for the actions of their crew. If what MRM posted is correct, and I have every reason to believe it is, Scott should be following the 44 out the gate. What Madden did was idiotic, but he's wasn't the instigator it sounds like. I say this knowing exactly why Scott short of stabbing a guy at the scales would never get tossed in ETN.
Before the you just hate Scott comments start, I like him a hell of a lot more than 44.

That guy is a real d-bag. At a race I was at last year, he drove his bike over to some other crew chief and was doing the same thing and the other crew chief just laughed at him (he should have did a Roy Mercer on him).Originally posted by MRM View PostThe crew guy had been cussing and flipping off Madden all the way to the scales. He drove very close to the nose of Madden's car, as though he was going to drive over the top of it. Madden got mad and punted him off the bike.

That's what I mean. Guys who want to act like that and run their mouth can be handled by simply laughing at them and/or ignoring them. They come out looking like the idiot in the end. And usually the more you cuss and spit, the more it turns out you aren't so tough anyway.Originally posted by fryefan View PostThat guy is a real d-bag. Exactly my point. But one guy was still in his car, probably still wearing his helmet. Some little sissy on a minibike cussing at you is about like a gnat buzzing around your face. Not a reason to knock him off his bike.Originally posted by drano View PostYou know that goes both ways.Last edited by NormP; 03-12-2016, 02:07 PM.

What Bloomers crewman did was no different than any heckler at any major sporting event (NBA-NFL etc) is doing. He didn't go over and kick Maddens car or go shove or punch him or anything like that. All he did was act like a spoiled brat. Just because he wasn't acting like an adult is not just cause for Bloomer and his team to be dq'd also. Ole smokey got what he had coming. 1 of these days he will do that and the other guy will jerk his head off.

I'd much rather be reading about them rolling around on the ground, and laughing about their lack of fighting skills. What lil bit I've been around bloomers crew dude, he needs an attitude adjustment anyway, just not with a car.
I can't believe madden didn't throw his steering wheel at him. That's what he likes to do....a lot.
