Port Royal for the Ufo. Be my first trip there, anybody know anything about the place?

i went for first time last week their opener

get there early, the locals mark spots in line for tickets with blankets
ga tix are good for grandstands and infield, walk thru tunnel in turn1 outside main stands to infield
the season ticket holders have reserved seats that should be marked

big track, the stands are not the whole length of the front straight
we sat in the section closest to 4 for easy access to restrooms
very clean facilities with attendants working the restrooms
lines for everything were exceedingly long

very nice track, surface seemed to hold up thru the 2 classes very well
there is a family section - no beer
the entire stands are no smoking

you have to buy your own ticket, cant buy for someone else, at least they wouldnt sell her one for me while i was in the parking lot

and all seats have backs to them

Yes.....I will be going with flashlight and camera in hand and will pass on any infractions to Lewis and Co. Of, course I will want one on mind so I can lap the field. Those poor foreigners aint never seen a dirt racer go crazy in one of Mickeys carts! lol

Port Royal for the Ufo. Be my first trip there, anybody know anything about the place?On opening day the weather was on the warm and pleasant side which lead to a large crowd.The main aluminum grandstands are plenty big enough with backs and there is not a bad seat. The season reserved seats are clearly marked. The track and facilities have under gone extensive renovations over the last few few seasons including new bathrooms and additional aluminum grandstands toward the pits. It is a fairgrounds track with a great atmosphere. I would estimate a large field of late models this weekend for UFO race. The track is usually racy even with the late models and sprint cars on the same card. Enjoy.
