Asphalt and dirt

Thought it was pretty interesting last night when Jonathan Davenport said the last time he ran at Senoia it was asphalt and he won in a legends car. Just got me thinking and wondering if anyone else has accomplished winning at the same track with it being both dirt and Paved. Just goes to show he's a hell of a wheelmen.

Big Block modified driver Doug Hoffman was good at Flemington when it was dirt, but was insanely dominant once it was paved.

Hoffman, Collins, Pauch, Horton all won on both Flemington surfaces, but yes Hoffman was most convincing on the blacktop. There were others as well in other divisions ie: Beavers, Heiber, Brenn, Wismer.

Years ago guys here would run LM on asphalt on Fridays and dirt on Saturday and if there was a Sunday special at a asphalt track the next day, they'd be there. Dirt still on the car. Some were successful. Roger wing, Frank Seder, Kris Patterson Etc

Buck Simmons did it at Dixie Speedway. One year when it was asphalt he won every race they had, then came back when it was dirt and won some more.
