Boy you guys run a real questionable operation by golly geez ole Pete............I'm totally kidding of course, I've said it for a while now........The guys ( including you Mr Carlton)that run that show are some of the best in the biz.

Dont change a thing and Don't ever let anyone tell you any different..........That CJ dude you got is a little squirrelly though, you might want to check him
Last I knew they were still fighting the crooks from Beckley. Yes, props to them, if you don't like it, don't go.
Up in the air who my next “favorite” driver is. Really losing hope on Bloomer getting anywhere back to “normal”.

Oh"I almost forgot $450..00 to start.And yes husker,Florence pays a point fund!
If you're worried about losing that $105 because you might not make the show, you are obviously not of the caliber of racer that has a realistic chance of winning the race to begin with. Which begs the question... How many $5k shows have you won? So $105 vs $100 to enter. You save $5. If you make the show, $400 vs $450. You make an extra $55. However, the level of competition will be tougher because of the $5k purse. Your chances to claim that extra $55 are reduced by a significant margin. So unless you have a proven record of winning $5k races (as this is your justification for an entry free of $100) as opposed to the $3k races you "normally" (assumptive predicate) win, then your logic is not only null & void, but borders on almost purposeful ignorance and/or significant mental disability. But please, I await with bated breath your retort, sure to be filled with logical fallacies and questionable arithmetic. Do me a favor, show me on the doll where the FASTRAK man touched you?

Threads like this give me very little hope about the future of our sport.

Just as an FYI: everything that the Ultimate series does is the standard for a regional series. I have the same disclaimers that drivers sign that the track is responsible for payout. There is certainly not enough money coming in via $105 entry fees to pay the staff, pay operating costs, pay the point fund AND potentially having to cover a tracks purse.

As far as the entry fee -- either pay it and race, or don't pay it and go somewhere else. Either way please shut the f**k up.

        Thanks,
        Jeff.

Racing is different in different areas. Around here tracks get sponsors and sponsors pay purses and point funds. This I think leads to the confusion amongst many. Worrying about getting paid after a race is a non thought around here as well. Guess just goes to show how good some of us have it around here

WOW! we have two SIMPLETON'S chiming in,you and Barbecueboy.Careful now as the two of you are vying for that weekly award called the V.I.,one of you will surely win.

In answer to some of your questions, the $105 entry fee for a $3000.00 to win race is way out of line.As I have said earlier I am not opposed to entry fee's as(not a nice word)long as the are commensurable with the product being offered.

Racing mostly in the Ohio,Kentucky,Indiana, and West Virginia area's my drivers have won several of the races that you refer to,including a few $10,000.00 races.

And lastly the doll you mention is at Joe's house,so I can't answer that.
              you just got greased

You are comparing apples to oranges Lazer. We are talking about a series and you are talking about stand alone special event. That is 2 totally opposite types of events. You have a series that will take care of registration, tech, lineups, running order, payouts, and any problem that may happen. A stand alone show is TOTALLY different. You are at the mercy of the track. Any issue a race team or teams have is up to the track. Point blank. Again let me say, No, the $100 entry fee for a $2500.00 to win race is right in line with most regional series. Maybe in your small part of the world you feel violated over that entry fee. We don't. We pay it graciously because we get it back at the end of the year in a points payout check. Plus the guys with the series will go to he1l and back for you if you have a problem. These guys have a business to run and people to pay. Do you think they do this for nothing and all the time spent is done for free? It's not rocket science. You need to go look at the Nesmith payout for their series. They race all over the south and even their entry fee for a $2500.00 to win race is $100.00.

If you are lucky enough to race 13 different tracks like we will (series racing), and you can race for a "Guaranteed" purse even if 10 cars show up, and you have a "Guaranteed" $5000.00 to win point fund (over 10k total point payout) and you don't have an entry fee. Then by gosh my hat is off to you. You and all the race teams around that area must be special. If you are going to race anywhere around here you are gonna pay to play. Not any other part of the country I have read about is getting all these big races and sponsors paying point funds. Now that I'm thinking about it, can you direct me to where the rundown for last years points are at? I want to see who all ran for points and see who won...... SMDH !!!!!

I don't think he will ever get it, slmcrewchief99! He's too worried about that $105 he could use to buy a new right rear for his pure stock! lol

Entry fees for a weekend regular show no.......entry fees for a series and everything they bring with them , absolutely zero problem with it.

Maybe us simpletons can pass the helmet around the pits to help raise the money for lazer entry fee and ease his ( hers?) angst.
