Batesville Lucas two day show ripoff.

Hot laps time trials and heat races only on Friday?

Thanks but I think I'll save my vacation days and money for tracks that will give fans AND drivers a feature both nights.

With the success of multiple day shows that offer features every night, you have to wonder why tracks still attempt to run the old format.

Batesville is a place I enjoy going just because it is from my home state and I can go back and visit old friends, but I agree. Friday you don't feel like you get enough and Saturday is the same way. I've never been to the Bad Boy event, but last couple times I went to the Topless now that WOO schedules on top of it, they only had 40-45 cars. One B main on Sat and the feature that's all you get.

      I agree with you both.

Is it Lucas or Batesville that determines whether a show is one or 2 days?

With 40-45 cars no need for two days, I would gladly pay another 10 dollars for a Saturday only show. I looked at Batesville and Lucas Oil web sites and no mention of ticket prices, guess they don't want anybody to know what they have to pay to watch 4 ten lap heat races on Friday night.

Yeah they are all about telling you the purse and what tires you can run but not much for fans. I'm sure you could call the track and they'd tell ya. Probably $20-25 Friday night and $30-35 Saturday night.

I agree. Also runs up the cost for drivers, fans, everybody.Better risk of rainout, etc. Please Promoters, owners STOP doing this- it is a lose/lose for everyone.

Florence does this crap on the north/south. Absolutely horrible! Not only is the price nearly double from going in the pits for 2 nights, but we have to drive 2 hours each way 2 days n a row... I hate it!

Another thing I like about two separate shows is the ability for a driver to only race one of the nights. The recent Illini 100 is an example, where Bloomquist and Sheppard were able to make the Sunday race. If it were one show spread out over two days, it wouldn't have mattered because they would've missed qualifying and heats. I think two separate shows is the way to go...just look at what Eldora did. Works out nicely!

You expect them to run 2 set of inverted heats, 2-4 b mains, the 100 lap feature and the non qualifiers race all in one night?

I understand why Promoters do the 2 night show its about money, and the down side I don't like is when you qualify the Supers the first night that kills almost any chance for any new Supers to come for the 2nd night. If they would race their support classes the first night and practice Supers the first night, and run the complete Super show the second night would be better for most.
