New Swartz chassis, rocket wouldn't sell them xr1 so switched is rumor. Hall has had long relationship with Swartz chassis though so who knows what real truth is.

I find it really hard to believe that Rocket "wouldn't sell them an XR1". Their (and every other chassis builder, really) goal is to sell as many cars as possible.
They just wanted to switch, and apparently, it was a good move for them.

I don't think Doug really wanted a Rocket. Even with last year's success I hear he really never liked the car. Ironic that 3 of the top 5 were in new Rockets last year & all 3 switched to something else.

It's always seemed to me that Doug has generally avoided Rockets for whatever reason. If it works, can't say I'd blame him.
