Brownstown Speedway Hosts Battle of the Bluegrass Series this Saturday
Carnesville, Georgia (April 18, 2016) – The ULTIMATE Battle of the Bluegrass will return to action this Saturday night, April 23rd at the historic Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. The newly revived regional series, fresh off a successful opening weekend, will headline Brownstown’s card with a $3000 to win Super Late Model feature. The event will mark the first visit by a series with the BoB moniker since June 28, 2008. In a twist of irony the last winner BoB winner at Brownstown was the most recent BoB winner Justin Ratliff of Campbellsville, Kentucky.
"The series has started out with good momentum. We had good car counts and excellent fan turnout at both Moler and Richmond. So we are excited about carrying that momentum into Brownstown. We have been getting many calls and inquiries so we feel really good about having another strong field. Brownstown has a rich history and seems like such a throwback type facility with the covered grandstands. We are very excited about this first event at Brownstown." said UBoB Owner Stan Lester.
Brownstown Speedway is located on Highway 250 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds
1 mile south-east of Brownstown, Indiana. The gates will open at 3:00 PM EST. The drivers meeting is scheduled for 5:30 and hot laps at 6.
