FAST FACTS

Race: 2nd Annual Billy Clanton Classic at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA. It will be race #7 in the 2016 Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series schedule. The 50 lap main event will pay $5.025 to win and will be the first Southern All Star event at the track since 1987.

Procedure: The starting field is set for 24 cars, including provisionals. There will be 2 White Performance qualifying groups with the top 8 or 10 depending on car count locked in and the top 4 or 5 out of each group. PPM Racing Products B Mains will determine up to 22 starters with the final two spots for highest driver in the 2016 Southern All Star Dirt Racing points standings.

Tire Rule: Hoosier 1350, 1600, 70.

Where did the track surface come from . I was told it was trucked in and redone the entire track .On thing is for sure they were racing on all of it form videos I watched ..Impressive ..

Always great racing at Senoia since the redone the track. $25 might be a little too steep for me though for a $5,025 to win Super show. Do understand they're paying extra money in the other classes though.

$25 for adults & $10 for kids under 12 will probably keep some people away. Hopefully, it's a good show & worth it. And they don't drag it out too long!

It rained over there this morning, should help with the water & track prep. We may take some kids & head over for a little bit later. Several drivers have little or no experience with that surface, so they should turn lots of laps tonight.

Track was pretty slick, but it's more racy that way! 25 Clanton, 99 Hackenast, 18 Junghans, r1 Hickman, 77 Ames, & others plus the Senoia regulars. I timed a few cars in the high 15, low 16 second range. But my thumb isn't as good as it used to be! Still home hours earlier than if we went to Penton! Hoping for a great tomorrow!

Forgot the others supposedly coming tomorrow. 76 Overton, 22 Ferguson, 2 Rambo, 101 Roberts. Several Dixie cars too. We'll all see tomorrow!

Big group of us from the Augusta area (at least 6 adults and 8 kids) were planning on coming tonight -- until we saw the admission prices. That's way too high for a 5K show.
