From my view it looked Lanigan turned down on him, butthey had made contact a couple laps before. Maybe Lanigan thought the first contact was done on purpose, but it wasn't.

Lanigan sure didn't cut Devin any slack, but it's kinda what Devin did when he passed him in 1n2. That really looked like a racing deal. Track was pretty good too. With the rain, and cooler temps, I hope it holds up. But Fridays track looked pretty darn good.

Owens looked like the Owens of old there, mad props to him, fine job.

The first big money race of the season. Rigsby, Shelton and Essex covering the race. Wins by Francis and Owens in the heats. Most of the top drivers in the country competing. This is what I love about DLM racing.

Moran had gotten into the wall a lil when he got into Darrell there, it was hard to see there, but you can see the spoiler got messed up from it. I think Devin turned down trying to get off the wall and it made it look like he took Darrell down the track. Lanigan doesn't know that from the seat though.

We just didn't qualify good at all.

It was a good battle till that happened .....If passing points were awarded the 99 would have won ....Gilpin got lucky there wasnt anothe lap or two .....LOL

Lanigan headed back home - only 2 hours away - right after his heat so that's why I didn't get him. Also went to interview Delmas about his great run but he was gone too. I think everybody was capitalizing on getting done early. In fact I barely caught Scott because he was about to leave as well.

Yes it was some good racing, it's a shame they are doing the Lucas 2 day show ripoff with just 44 cars. Last week Fairbury had 48 late models and 3 other classes and we're done by 10:30.
