Incorrect, it's way older then that more closer to 20 years. I know it was going by 99 for sure but can't remember how much earlier it was.Originally posted by Diggin-IL-Dirt View PostThe new 4m started 9 years ago today, how many members are still here from day 1? I am
You seem to be going off the date it was rebooted by that idiot Barry that screwed the whole thing up by going away from the vbulletin format. Glad they kicked him to the curb.
Edit: I guess you did say the "NEW"

For the heck of it: 4M's creation date is 11/03/1997
haha, Barry and his Joomla format! I truly believe his intention was good but Joomla was relatively new at the time, compounded with he had to use ancient servers that had been rewrote, compromised and likely suffered from countless improper purges, yeah, none of that ended well, did it? At least he tried to jazz the place up a little bit.
All one has to do to appreciate 4M is visit Hosehead (the 4M for Sprints) and you'll feel like you traded in your 1980 Citation for a 2002 Cadillac STS
At least you can swear at Hosehead. I don't think sensors were created that far back in time.

I remember when they made everyone sign up again. I didn't for a year almost. To busy to post much back then. Doing away with the Rep system, saved this place. It was getting worse everyday at the time with the multiple user names and bad mouthing. Not allowing posters to bad mouth their advertisers was another good thing. How would you like someone chasing your paying customers away?
