UFo “Shawn McGarvey Championship†at Dog Hollow on June 17 now 3 Late Model Division UFo SuperNova event!
(Mars, PA) The UFo “Shawn McGavey Championship†at Dog Hollow Speedway has been rescheduled for Friday, Night, June 17. This will now be a 3 late model division SuperNova event featuring the UFo Super Late Models for $4,000 to win, the UFo Semi-Lates for $1,000 to win and CARS Crate/Pro-Late Models for $800 to win. This powerful tri-late model program will have no admission increase from the previously announced pricing for the event.
Dog Hollow Speedway achieved the highest Super Late Model car count in the region in 2015 with their UFo finale, and an excellent field of cars is anticipated for the UFo “Shawn McGarvey Championship†on Friday, June 17. Because of the high Super Late Model car counts at Dog Hollow, promoter Dan Savino has will increase the starting field for that class as the car count increases. 36 Super Late Models in the pits will see 26 start, 41 will start 28, and 46+ will start 30 on the 3/8 mile speedtrack.
Dog Hollow has cranked it up and increased their payoff from last year for this event. The UFo Super Late Models will pay $4,000 to win, $300 to start and $150 for non-qualifiers for the 48 lap championship. The UFo Semi-Lates will pay $1,000 to win, $140 to start and $100 for non-qualifiers for their 33 lap championship. The CARS Crate/Pro-Late Models will pay $800 to win for their 25 lap summer championship. The Cadets (street), Pure Stocks and Sidewinders will also be in action. With 6 classes in action, the entire racing program will be tightened for efficiency, with the Super Late Model feature running second on the rotation.
At Dog Hollow on May 29, pit gates will open at 3:30, grandstands at 5:00, pill draw will end at 6:20 with the drivers meeting at 6:30. Late model warm-ups will start at 7:00 and racing will begin after that, at approximately 7:30. Grandstand admission is only $20, seniors 60+ $17, junior 13-17 $10, children 7-12 $5. All pit tickets will be $35. Super Late Models will have a $25 entry fee and Semi-Lates will have a $15 entry fee, deducted from final payoff.
At Dog Hollow, both the Super Late Models and Semi-Lates will use an open-compound tire rule, with all rule book tire specifications in effect. Regular UFo Semi-Late rules will apply for that division. Drivers may compete in only one UFo late model division at this event. Drivers may compete in Crate/Pro-Late Model and another late model division with a $50 car entry fee for the crate. Each car can only compete in one division for this event.
