You are racing 3 straight days in the midst of summer...there is bound to be some rain chances. If you ask track prep, they'd love some rain during the days.Originally posted by Mud View PostThe weekend not looking to good. Do they have a contingency plan ?
But to answer your question? Yes they do

Weather looking good so far. I'll vouch for last years make-up day race on saturday, best mid-day racing I can remember seeing, they tore up alot of stuff but it sure was fun to watch!

Rain or not, there will definitely be a chance of some black sunshine in the forecast this weekend

I have never been there, but I've heard that Eldora has waited out rain and started races at like 2 or 3 am. Can anyone verify that? I would think that over Thursday and up to Sunday if needed they will be able to get 3 programs in. Hopefully it's not like the Show Me where chances of rain kept a lot of drivers from coming. I think most drivers know by now if anyone can get a show in regardless of rain it is the Big E.

I went to the Dream last year and they ran shows on Thursday, Friday, AND Saturday nights.Originally posted by Madcat View PostLast year was a monsoon and still got it in Saturday. ALL of it except Thursday night was run Saturday. That was some of the worst rain I have seen for the dream. Plus it was freezing. Not like this year, going to be a GREAT weekend.

At the kings royal last year. Rained at start of first heat, rained like a mother for 3hrs or so. Got the show in. Eldora is the best on whipping track into shape. Been to many 3am shows there. The old format 2 qualifying laps. 1 at a time kept u there all f n night. Non qualifier races wouldn't start till 2am.Format 100 times better nowdays.
