Havent been in a long time was some good racing back in the day. I used to race there often in roadhog/hobby/bomber, Fast 4/10 with 32° turns. It's their first year back open after 2yrs closed, new operator has done a lot of facelift work around the place.

This the same Newport Speedway that Bloomer tore up his car at in qualifying and had to slowly repay his dad back for in the 80s? Not sure if this track was ever dirt or not but just curious.Comment

Loved Newport when it was dirt. Saw some great races there in late 70's and early 80's. The big race that Robert Smawley had there in 1978 is what started the NDRA.Comment
