gear chip out of quick change

while changing lube in our franklin qc there was a small chip on the magnetic plug about 3/8 x3/4 long it looked like it came the top of the ring gear no more chips after a nite of racing--- has anybody had the same prob. how long might it last ? any ideas thanks

Use XR 1 gear oil and that won't happen
