Florida speedweeks options

The family is planning a trip to Disney world next February and I'd like to hit up a race while I'm there. Have the tracks released the dates for speedweeks yet? Also if you had the choice of East Bay, Volusia or Bubbas where would you go? We'll only be there for a week so all three are not an option.

Thanks for the reply. I was leaning to volusia. I found there dates for 2017 but can't find anything on Ocala or east bay. Ocala looks cool with the D-shape wouldn't mind seeing that track.

I still like East Bay. I used to live in Florida and enjoyed weekly racing at Volusia. But, I have never seen a good show with the "big boys" in town.

I have been to February racing many times at all 3 speedway's you're asking about dating back to the mid 1980's right up until this past February. Your first choice should be Volusia Speedway Park, second would be Bubba Raceway Park and number three would be East Bay.

Havent been to Eastbay but was able to go to Ocala and Volusia for the 1st time this year. Id definitely recommend going to Volusia. Nothing wrong with Ocala just had a blast all week at Volusia and plan on going back

If you're only hitting one, that one should be Volusia. Good car count as both WOO and Lucas regulars attend. Also good support class of either UMP Mods or Big Block Mods.

Yeah depending on what night(s) you go youll get WoO sprints and mods or supers and mods. Not sure what other divisions Eastbay runs but Ocala just had micro sprints along with Lucas

East Bay has no support division which is good if you want to make it an early night or bad if want more racing. Screven and Golden Isles have Mods and maybe a local class of cars. Bubba always the mini sprints. Car count and quality support class goes to Volusia hands down.

Yeah Screven was another 1st for me this year and that place was pretty awesome. Wanted to stay and watch the 4 cylinders run for 10k but was freezing my ballz off, but the racing in all classes was great and the facilities were awesome as well

We hit Volusha twice last year .... I hope they do ump mods next year ....Just so I might see some regulars I see run around here ....

UMP Mods run with Sprints (prior week) and the late models on Mon. and Tues. On Wed. the Big Block Mods become the support class. If you went later in the week that's why you missed them.

Volusia announced at the track during this years DirtCar Nationals that the dates would be: Feb 7th thru the 18th. EVERY night they mentioned renewing your tickets for these dates.
Week after being home, they renigged and changed their dates to (coincide with NapCar) February 14-25, 2017
Due to this, hotel rooms near volusia that would have been 60-70 a night, now will be 2-3x that.
This alone, leads me to Eastbay, who have not announced thier nights, but are historically the week before the late models at Volusia

Anyone know the Eastbay dates yet? I have to turn in vacation requests about 6 months in advance! I have emailed the track, left message on Eastbay phone, emailed Lucas as well? Would be nice to know!
