I have gone to short track races down there off and on since the late 60s. Volusia is my favorite of the bunch. The motel price is high, because of NASCAR running at the same time. If your expecting a Knoxville, Fairbury or I80, forget it, but the nice weather and decent racing trips my trigger.

Being all three are my local tracks, East Bay has the best racing hands down followed by BRP and then Volusia. Volusia definitely has a better atmosphere plus all three series of competitors. Boylans pork chop sammiches are hard to beat also!

However, its strawberry season around the Tampa area, and East bay has the finest strawberry shortcake you will ever eat. As many on here has testified, that sways the balance in their favor! lol

I only go for the bigger shows during the year. Its a 4 hr drive for me.
