Leave it to Ump to schedule by far one of the worst tracks around. It's dirt racing not sand racing. F n farmer dug a hole in the ground n called it a racetrack.

When was the last time you where there?
The track was the best I have see it this past Saturday and Monday 4th of July then I have see it in many many years and was actually impressed with it.
And I have been about the most critical and vocal person when it concerns the racing surface there and have publicly said so.
I'm sure there are a few on here that remember how mad and p!ssed off I got at them for the crappy racing surface and the complete bullsh!t the officiating was almost weekly.
The officials have improved quit a bit this year and so has the track surface.
48 UMP Modifieds Monday night on hand and not 1 bad word about the track surface from the drivers.

I know some folks don't like the people at Kankakee but the track prep is decent and they will be doing the track prep for this show. The track it self has been pretty good this year. I've been there 3 times this year and have see 3 pretty good UMP Modified features. I've seen Late Models race there before even though the last time was 15 years ago. Seen crates there a few times and they put on a good show as well. Most people remember a crappy track like I do. I can honestly tell you this is not the same track they've had in the past. Track prep has been considerably better the past 2 years.
