Absolutely, you are entitled to you opinion. I recently watched 7-8 features on dirt on dirt that JD won and the only thing keeping him out of the fence was a cushion. Also when he wrecks or has a flat, bouncing off the cushion is usually the culprit. He likes the cushion, it's a fact!

Too bad sidewalks don't have cushions.......would make landings much softer.

A lot of drivers don't have the testicular fortitude to run the cushion. Those that do are fun to watch.

One could say it takes ruthless aggression.

I'd say the most popular lines at any winged sprint car race would refer to a man's sack size for that same reason.

J.D.'s "nads" are much smaller than they use to be. As one who has watched his rapid development as a driver over the years, he's actually matured from almost completely out of control to a man behind the wheel who is in full control of his race car. That doesn't bode well for the other SLM racers but expect Davenport to be a "factor" as long as he chooses to race.

He has made vast improvements since his ''49'' days and it shows in the results. The raw talent has always been there.

JD DOES like the cushion, for sure. Saw him get so high at the Wild West Shootout, that he knocked the spoiler off the right rear and STILL win the race. Another guy that runs it inches from the wall is Jesse Stovall.

according to centeroff, JDs "nads" must be HUGE, considering he only ever runs the cushion...

take the wing off and the drivers has a bigger sack

Quote Jack Hewitt : I rather lose running the top then win running the bottom.
