Butterbean Leads ARCA Menards to Southern Illinois 100 at DuQuoin Sunday
        By Jay Hardin Track Enterprises

August 26, 2025-DuQuoin, IL-Brendan “Butterbean” Queen is the current ARCA Menards series point leader. Butterbean has five wins in fifteen ARCA Menards Series starts, including Daytona, Kansas, Michigan, Dover and Iowa. He started from the pole in the August 17 Allen Crowe 100 by virtue of a draw when qualifying was rained out. Butterbean led the first 17 laps in his first ever one-mile dirt track start before being passed by eventual winner Brent Crews. Queen finished fourth at Springfield, followed that with a third at Madison to lead the standings by 34 over Lavar Scott.

Queen is one of the most popular drivers on the ARCA tour making his debut at Daytona in 2019. The Virginian has been racing since the age of 6 and was three times track champion at his home track in Langley, VA. Queen won the CARS late model tour championship in 2024. The 27-year-old mechanical engineering student of Old Dominion University has managed to squeeze in some NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races as well.

With just 34 markers separating Queen and Scott (who was second at Springfield) the Southern Illinois 100 at DuQuoin could play a role in the ARCA Menard’s championship chase.

It’s all part of a huge weekend of racing in Southern Illinois that opens on Saturday afternoon, August 30 for the Ted Horn 100 for the USAC Silver Crown Series. Then, Sunday night, August 31, the ARCA Menards Series returns for the Southern Illinois 100 for an evening under the lights. The DIRTcar Modifieds will race both days with prelims Saturday and the feature Sunday night.

Fans can save by purchasing advance sale discount tickets for the DuQuoin events by calling the DuQuoin State Fair box office at 618-542-1535 or Track Enterprises at 217-764-3200.

Ladies Night Sunday at DuQuoin in ARCA Southern Illinois 100
              By Jay Hardin Track Enterprises

August 26, 2025-DuQuoin, IL-In the nearly 80 year history of the Magic Mile on the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, no woman racing driver has ever made it to victory lane. That may change Sunday night in the ARCA Menards Series Southern Illinois 100 as two female entrants enter the event backed by one of the winningest race teams in ARCA competition. Both ladies have impressive resumes as well including dirt track experience.

South Carolina’s Isabella Robusto wowed the Illinois State Fair crowd during the 2024 Allen Crowe 100 when she drove from the back of the field to a second place finish. She is contesting the entire ARCA Menard’s schedule in 2025 and is fifth in points with ten top ten finishes in fifteen starts. Two weeks ago she was thought to be a contender for the ARCA Allen Crowe 100 at Springfield where she started 8th. However an early race incident sent her Toyota into the turn 3 concrete and she was out for the day. Rubusto did not run at DuQuoin last year yet she is expected to run at the front of the Southern Illinois 100 Sunday night.

California’s 18 year old Jade Avedisian makes her ARCA debut on the DuQuoin dirt Sunday night. Avedisian’s breakthrough season in 2023 cemented her status as one of the most exciting prospects in motorsports. She captured the 2023 Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series championship and became the first female driver to reach the podium in a Chili Bowl Nationals preliminary night.

In 2024, she continued her development under Toyota Driver Development (TD2), competing in both the USAC National Midget and Xtreme National Midget series with Keith Kunz Motorsports. In addition, Avedisian ran the full Toyota GR Cup schedule with Nitro Motorsports, building valuable experience on pavement and road courses. Her growing resume also includes competition in Late Model Stock Cars and the Trans Am TA2 Series. Avedisian is the first female to ever win a CARS late model tour event.

Both ladies drive Toyota Camry stock cars for the potent Venturini team. Bill, Cathy and Billy Venturini have numerous ARCA wins and championships. The victories include seven on the mile dirt at Springfield and six on the mile dirt of DuQuoIn. Neither of the crew chiefs listed on the entry list Larry Balsitis (Avedisian) or Danny Johnson (Rubusto) were the listed crew chief for a previous Venturini victory.
