KERBYSTRONG 100 THIS SATURDAY @ Macon Speedway Midwest Big Ten Series DIRTcar UMP Super Late Models 50 Laps - $2,000 To Win Billingsley BP Service Center & Towing UMP Modifieds 25 Laps - $700 To Win UMP Sportsman - 25 Laps - $600 To Win + UMP Street Stocks, UMP Hornets, & Beach House 600cc Winged Outlaw Micros Pits Open - 4:00 Grandstands - 5:00 Hot Laps - 6:00 Racing - 7:00 Adult Admission $15/Children 11 & Under FREE With the B-Modifieds being a relatively new division to Macon Speedway, a light schedule was put together for the 2015 season. As the race season reaches the mid part of summer a $50 bonus has been offered to the highest finishing B-mod when they opt to race with the Billingsley Towing Modifieds. Billingsley Towing and Macon Speedway thought it would be a good to give to the B-Mod division especially since they don’t have any regular events scheduled for the next few weeks. So any legal B-Mod that would like to race will be eligible for the bonus. Macon Speedway asks that all B-Mod cars place the letter B on the driver’s side pillar or in the corner of the roof by the driver’s side to help officials distinguish the B-Mod cars in attendance.

The Inaugural Kerby Strong 100, honoring the late Kerby Damery, a native Macon resident who valiantly battled cancer before taking the checkered flag of life earlier this year. Kerby is a former track champion and has won numerous events here in various classes over the years, but his biggest impact has been the lives he touched by helping others. The KerbyStrong 100 will consist of: Midwest Big Ten Series DIRTcar UMP Super Late Models 50 lap feature $2,000 to win/ $250 to start Billingsley BP Service Center & Towing UMP Modifieds 25 lap feature $700 to win UMP Sportsman 25 lap feature $600 to win Other classes racing are: UMP Street Stocks UMP Outlaw Hornets Beach House 600cc Winged Outlaw Micro Sprints. KERBYSTRONG 100 Coming To Macon Speedway Saturday Huge Event Honors Former Racer Kerby Damery Macon Speedway is known for keeping the schedule fresh with plenty of big events and not too many are bigger than the one scheduled for this coming Saturday, August 1. The KERBYSTRONG 100 is on tap, with specials for the Big Ten Super Late Models, Billingsley Towing Modifieds, and Sportsman. The event is held in honor of the late, Kerby Damery, a former racer at the 1/5-mile speedplant. Damery was born and raised in Macon, IL and started racing at the age of 21. In 1990, Damery won the Sportsman championship at Macon Speedway. Later in his career, Damery moved into the Late Model division, where he won the 2004 championship. Numerous other feature victories and accolades came throughout his illustrious career. Unfortunately in 2007, Damery was diagnosed with Stage IV Appendix Cancer. Damery lived life to its fullest up until his death in February of this year at the age of 49. In his memory, his family has created this race night to raise funds to provide immediate assistance to qualified patients with cancer who need support while undergoing cancer treatments. Numerous sponsors have stepped forward to help with the huge event and proceeds will benefit local cancer patients. Saturday's event, known as the KERBYSTRONG 100, will feature special events and extra pay in the Midwest Big Ten Super Late Models, Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds, and UMP Sportsman. The Super Late Model event will run 50 laps for $2,000 to win, the Modifieds will go 25 laps for $700, and the Sportsman will race for $600 in their 25 lap event. Street Stocks, Hornets, and the Beach House Micros will also compete. Pit gates will open at 4:00, general admission gates at 5:00, hotlaps will begin at 6:00 when the pill draw ends, and racing action will begin at 7:00.
