Another One For The Ages at The Terre Haute Action Track!

For those unlucky race fans that weren't in attendance at The Terre Haute Action Track Saturday night ya'll missed an epic A-main for the USAC National Sprint Cars. Chris Windom and Chad Boespflug slugged it out for 25 laps of the 30 lap A-main. Windom took the lead for the final time on lap 28 with a daring pass getting into turn 3 overtaking both a lapper and Boespflug with as single move. Windom was as aggressive as you'll ever see in a sprint car. There was a collective exhale from the large crowd when the checkered fell, it was just that fast and tight of a race.

What added to the excitement is that Chris started in the 4th row and went on to the win and points leader Brady Bacon started 17th and finished 7th.

I've seen some GREAT racing on the big half mile over the years but none any better than the Jim Hurtubise Classic Saturday night.

Also, we were on our way home by 9 PM as there was only one support class.

Just don't get no better than all that!!

Here are the highlights as posted on YouTube, Kid. Not the whole race but it focus's on the really good parts. This gives you a taste of just how good the racing was for the lead but it was tooth and nail all through the field all race long.

I firmly believe you will not see racing like this from any other form of racecar. Not this fast and nimble . And, remember, THAT is a very fast 1/2 mile.
