Four Crown Times?

I saw for last year's four crown at Eldora that hot laps start at 4:30 but racing doesn't start till 8 pm. Is that features or heats? Anyone know what time the night usually gets over the last couple years? Trying to decide whether to get a hotel or drive the four hours home after.

Last year I got home to my place at 4:30am after and hour ten minute drive and the 3 guys that went with me still had an hour and half to get back to Chillicothe. And we left before last feature, silver crown, was over since windom dominated all the laps.
8pm has to be heat start time and that may look odd, but there are four classes to all hot lap and time trial.
Good show tho, don't let any of that deter you from one of the best shows the Big E offers all year long

I went last year. I live in Troy about 40 minutes away. Anyway I got there early like 8a.m. to watch the quarter midgets behind 3 and 4. They had 250 or so of them and at 3p.m. I walked over and got my ticket and let me tell ya they had 130 cars in 4 classes. They did not end qualifying until around 9p.m. and heats went off at 10p.m. Last feature was done at 2:00 or so in the morning.

xfactor, get a room. I say that for a couple of reasons. It could be a late night and if it rains out they will run it on Sunday. That happened in 2014.

We attended the Four Crown going all the way back when they ran the late models as part of the lineup. Earl would hot lap, qualify all 4 classes and run the heat races for the midgets, sprint cars and late models on Friday night. On Saturday night he'd hot lap all 4 classes and run the C & B main's for the midgets, sprints and late models and finish up with all 4 A-mains. I still believe they should do it that way, especially since they've gone back to 4 classes of cars as part of the USAC portion of the weekend.

Our group will always go over to Eldora for the Four Crown since it is the one and only event of the season where you can see all three National USAC classes participating in the same event and, after all, it's Eldora. However, Stewart pissed off a lot of people last year with how late, or I should say how early in the morning, it finished. I'm betting it won't happen again for a long time.
