Over 60 entries have been received for the Junior Knepper 55 next Saturday. Included in those 60+ entries is Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Christopher Bell, Sunshine Tyler Courtney, Justin Grant, Shane Golobic, Chase Briscoe & Chad Boat are just some of the heavy hitters that will be in action inside the Southern Illinois Center!!

This race gets bigger every year. Can't wait to head to Southern Illinois next Saturday!!

Well, ss, first off they didn't have 60+ cars. They had 56. Christopher Bell put on a show once again. He spun in his qualifier and came back to win it. Chase Briscoe and Sunshine Tyler Courtney were just as impressive as Bell but in the end circumstances worked against them and Bell came out the winner. Chad Boat had all of them covered up until about 10 to go and it seemed the top went away on him and he ended up 4th. It was great racing all night and the show moved along very well even with the track being reworked 4 times.

I will never miss this event as long as I can make the 4 1/2 hour trip one way to Du Quoin. It's become a mainstay in midget racing and I believe it will for a long time to come.
