    Jack Hewitt at The Milwaukee Mile 6/16/19

    Ran in the vintage class yesterday in a Ford powered 100" car (I think)...

      Krooser, what do you mean by 100" car? Are you referring to a USAC Silver Crown car.

              If in fact the car was a Ford powered USAC Silver Crown pavement car it may well have been the car that Jack won the Silver Crown race at Richmond, Virginia. That would have been the Hampshire owned #63 car. Hewitt and Hampshire had a Ford engine deal for a few years back in the 1990's. They won a few races with the Ford stuff but not near as many as with a Chevy powered Crown car Jack & Hamp nicknamed "Gussie".
