Robert Ballou Crashes At Kokomo While Taking The Checkered Flag, Breaks Arm 2 Places

A shout out for a quick and successful recovery for "The Madman", Robert Ballou. Robert crashed just passed the finish line after winning the wingless 410 sprint car race at Kokomo, Indiana Sunday night. Robert Ballou is one of the most exciting drivers in any division of dirt track racing. He's a classic bad ass, for sure!

The last statement we read regarding Robert's condition said he sustained a compound fracture of the Ulna and Radius in his arm. He had surgery this morning (Monday June 24) which was successful and is expected to fully recover. OUCH........but great to hear the prognosis is for a complete recovery!

    GET WELL SOON MR. MADMAN!!

OMG !! Kind of reminds one of when Davy Allison ended up, knocked on out, backwards on in agin the wall after winning at Charlotte !!! The place got so quiet that one could hear a pin drop !

I watched the on demand replay of the Sunday night show at Kokomo and SpeedshiftTV stopped the video just a couple of seconds prior to the crash. It must have been very, very sketchy for them to do that!

I hope Robert puts some young lead foot in his car while he's healing up.
