King of the Carolinas (Carolina Speedway). Great race last night with a very wild finish. Good series and thanks to all of you who have kept Sprint Car racing alive in the Carolinas! Glad everyone is ok as well. A few drivers went for a wild ride last night.

Me too. I can’t think of a race I have ever watched with an ending like that. Leader crashed with 2 laps to go. Race then rained out. Crashed up leader was announced as winner and then minutes later it was announced that since his car could not make it to the scales the second place car of Jake Karklin was declared the winner. I have to admit it. The sprint cars put on a good show. These guys ran close and hard all night.

305’s do well on Carolina speedway.

I'm slowly warming up to the 305's! Naturally I like 'em a bit better without a wing. However, they took the place of the midgets as the featured division of the Nationals during the fair at the Belleville High Banks and they've become a hit in just 3 years. Glad to see the dirt open wheelers prospering in the Tar Heel State!

My thinking as well although Carolina claims a 4/10th mile track although it feels a little smaller to me. Drivers were 3 and sometimes 4 wide. Good stuff.

I am in the heart of what has become 305 country with Racesaver merging with IMCA, and seen the 305's at places like I-80, which list as a 4/10, but is really closer to .45 at the outside wall. The WoO Official number in the middle is .435, the smaller motors don't have the snap of the corner on starts and restarts or when the track gets slick.

They can, and do, put on a great show on some of the longer tracks. The 2020 Belleville 305 Nationals were proof of that. That may be due to the fact that the Belleville deal is the highest paying event in which the 305's participate.
