IT IS TOP GUN NIGHT 1 RACE DAY AT MACON SPEEDWAY!
Coming off a historic 43rd Herald & Review 100 for the DIRTcar Racing Summer Nationals which saw Ryan Unzicker win his 2nd crown and Mike McKinney win in the Modifieds in only his 2nd visit, tonight a new chapter in the track's 78 year history will be written tonight as, for the FIRST TIME EVER, the USAC Racing AMSOIL INC. National Sprint Cars will rip around the legendary 1/5 mile high banks of Mighty Macon Speedway.
The current non-winged sprint car record of 10.796 established July 13,2022 by Mitch Wismiller is almost certainly going to fall as Justin Grant during an exhibition hot lap session was fastest among 4 drivers at 10.810 and not pushing the issue. Tonight the boys will drop the hammah! It's going to be jet fighters in a gymnasium, elbows up open wheel excitement you won't want to miss! The exciting HART - Heartland Auto Racing Tour Non-Wing Micro will be tonight's support class.
On top of the fireworks on track, there is going to be a HUGE Fireworks display at the end of the racing program. The giant fun slide has been a hit as well for kids of all ages.
The command from Goose has come in. It's time to hit Mach 1 and head to Mighty Macon for this first ever visit by pilots such as Brady Bacon, Justin Grant, C.J. Leary, Emerson Axsom, Jake Swanson, Kyle Cummins, Chase Stockon, Robert Ballou, Daison Pursley, and many more try to etch their name into the history books as the FIRST EVER USAC Sprint Car feature winner at Macon Speedway and to be THE Top Gun.
