Looking to find out what the ideal of legal valve spring seat pressure

I'd say it depends on your tech official. The springs are rated at 80lbs of seat pressure. Some techs may give you a certain amount above that, but you need to know what yours does.

i have new 604 and raced last weekend and it seemed real lazy like it dont want to pull off the corners is that do to the low spring pressure??? i

@FAH-Q.... spring pressure on a 604 should be around a 100 and they give you around 5 lbs to play with, so 105 Max..... if its lazy off the corner throw some gear to it-put a 6800 chip in the MSD

mine wont turn no more than 6000 no matter what i do to it just got my car loose enough to not bog motor but it still wont turn. bought 604 used so i was wondering about my valve springs also?
