604 what would you recommend a slip collar or non slip collar?

If the engine has never been decked or the cylinder heads cut we have found the 85551 distributor to work perfectly
the 85551 does not have a slip collar

if there has been any machine work done then possibly the 85561 may be helpful to insure the correct pump clearance and gear contact

we commonly have people bring us the 85501 which is factory locked and does have a slip collar---which is all fine but it also has a .006" oversized gear which in our experience is to tight on most new applications.

in all cases you should check for proper distributor depth to the oil pump and gear contact with the camshaft.
