Has anyone seen any dyno tests on v-belt type pulleys vs radius tooth pulleys????

there are contributing factors to the draw of power from pulleys
the big ones are ratio and slippage
the HTD (radius tooth) has no possibility of slippage so in the FIRST part of discussion it will take more power to operate however since there is no chance of slippage you can run less pulley speed which will net more power to the driveshaft
also the HTD stuff does not have much tension which also enhances the power a bit
there are upsides and down sides to all the types of pulleys
1 special note when using HTD pulleys
you cannot run a heavy high pitch steel fan
you must run a lightweight fan
upon deceleration a heavy fan will rip the belt apart because it has no slippage
