How would a 2bl carb work on a 602 ?

There are many divisions that mandate a 2 barrel ---in that situation everything is equal but the racing is good
dyno wise a good 4 barrel VS a good 2 barrel is 30 to 35 HP different
TQ is down also dut it depends on where your looking in the curve to establish TQ loss (at peak its about 20)

now I want to share this story---
My daughter runs a modified that has to be on 3 link solid suspension and run on G60 rock hard tires
they allow a spec engine that will make about 400 HP on a 2 barrel or you can run a 602 on a 4 barrel

we run the 602 option but do not use the 4 barrel option--(we use a 2 barrel)
it competes very well and when I put a professional driver in the seat he can turn laps quicker than anyone in the field.
My point is---"it's not always power that you want"---drivability is just as important
