Technically you could use a little as -6( 3/8) and be fine that being said most cells and fuel filter assembles are set up for -10(5/8) so it's usually easiest to run 10 from the tank to the filter and to the pump then run 8 from the pump to the carb. This is the simplest and generally the most cost effective due to adapter fittings. And if you ever move up your system is capable of supporting limited or super already. So it's one less hurdle

Side note......most will know this but some newer racers may not. The dash numbers on fittings or hoses are expressed in sixteenths of an inch.....ie -6 is 6/16 or 3/8", -8 is 8/16 or 1/2", etc.Originally posted by Jking24 View PostTechnically you could use a little as -6( 3/8) and be fine that being said most cells and fuel filter assembles are set up for -10(5/8) so it's usually easiest to run 10 from the tank to the filter and to the pump then run 8 from the pump to the carb.
