Advantages of .810 rotors over 1.25

Besides weight, what are the advantages of .810 rotors over 1.25? Rotating mass i guess? What caliper pistons do you guys run and why?

I don't think theirs any advantage it's just become common place. The calipers are a little lighter but the rotors them selves are very close in weight

Rotating weight is all that comes to mind. Perhaps dissipate heat quicker? I dunno, aside from the obvious.
