    602 Crate high RPM miss (running rich?)

    I've hade a high RPM miss for the last few races and I've changed everything in the fuel system (carb, fuel pump, etc.). Even when idling for a while, you can smell gas fumes and the plugs turn black.

    Any ideas? Running stock HEI that came with the engine - I bought it new, no issues until now.


    Might change distributer this week since I have a spare. Any other suggestions???

      if it sounds like it's on a chip at 6000 but there is no chip ---the high speed air bleeds are too small
      If you are trying to run it over 6200 you might need valve springs
