    Fuel Pump Push Rod

I am installing a fuel pump push rod in a 604. I elected to go with a bronze tipped comp cams version. I have a stupid question...Both ends are bronze tipped. One side has an 1/8th inch long section and the other end is inserted flush with the tube. Which end goes toward camshaft? I worry about it mushrooming if I install incorrectly....thanks for any help

Thanks Bill...That's how I have it,just wanted some reassurace... I had one mushroom with a flat tappet cam before that was professionally built. I am glad that there are guys like you in the racing world for keeping us racers informed. Do you sale matched valve springs for a 604 over the counter?

steve have you had any success with chp fuel compared to other fuels? we dynoed 604 on dts dyno last week and about 3 hp was the difference between chp and sunoco 110.
