Anybody have any experience or reviews with this HEI?

I like the simplicity of an HEI but if there is something better and cost-effective out there I'm all for it. This one claims to be good. Looking for some real-world opinions.

DUI makes some good stuff but ANY H.E.I. type unit LOVES voltage. If you are not running an alternator I would NOT run an HEI as you will be losing a large amount of power by the end of the night. In dyno runs I have seen some motors loose 40 hp on the chassis dyno after a 10 lap heat and 20 lap feature night that had very few cautions. This was using an Optima battery and a complete Quickcar wiring harness on an asphalt late model.

We currently run an Optima red-top 12V with an alternator. That's with a 602 with the factory HEI and we haven't had any problems. Next year we're moving to a 604 which is why I'm on the market for an HEI upgrade.
