    GVS Gear???

I'm considering on possibly going to GVS this upcoming weekend...does anyone know what gear range most people are on around out there? Would a 5:83 be close?

    Thanks

I assume GVS is Green Valley Speedway. I also run a 3/8's mile track. I run 5.88 gear and I am about 6500 at the end of the straights. The first gear I put in the car was a 6.12 and I hit 7000 at the flag stand.

Most handling problems can be solved by adjusting the screw-ball. It can be difficult to fine tune at times. Explaining yourself loudly and striking it on top of the helmet with a dead blow hammer usually works well.

Yes, Green Valley. I'm on a 602 and 583 is the lowest gear I have. I assume you're on a 602 as well???

No I am running a iron head NLMS motor. But I am on a budget so I try not to spin it that fast. A friend of mine is running a 602 in his clip car, and he runs a 6.20 something. But at least your gear choice is on the safe side. Is there a parts truck at the track? I find that people are nice enough to let you borrow a set, if you are totally out to lunch.

Alright, well, I might give it a try this weekend. If no one shows up for the birthday party, we'll scramble to get everything ready and go racing. haha
