What can cause a car not to get up on the left rear.

    What can cause a car not to get up on the left rear.

    We are getting about 1/2 way up but not all the way up.

    4 bars are not binding.
    Birdcages are not binding.
    J-bar in not binding. 10" on frame to bottom of pinion.
    5th coil is not binding.
    5th arm is not binding.
    3 different shocks 8/2 7/3 9/3 all with 250 12" spring
    right front getting 4" travel.

    All info appreciated.

    Maybe the magic wore off on the stuff you bought from dynoman that you used to set the track record. :-)

        That's one that gets missed often. Put the car up on stands and pull all the coilovers off. Use a floor jack to lift each corner to extremes. Make sure nothing hits.

        Less left side %, softer LR spring, lowering LRU bar on the B/C, move ballast higher in the car, gas shock in front of the axle on the LR will all help the car get up on the bars.

        Try and run a travel indicator on the LR. The shock rubber only checks compression not rebound. The problem we had is it would go up, and come back down. But we had no way of proving it was actually up on the bars, other than what I felt. There were several pictures of the car coming out of the corner and the car was flat. But no picture of it up on the bars. Once we put the indicator on it proved what I felt, the travel indicator showed it was about 1/2" away from hitting the chain. Car went up and came back down. Gas shock fixed that for us.

        Most handling problems can be solved by adjusting the screw-ball. It can be difficult to fine tune at times. Explaining yourself loudly and striking it on top of the helmet with a dead blow hammer usually works well.

          14" spring instead of a 12? had the same problem, 14 fixed ours.

            Driveshaft will do it every time. Normally you will notice alot of wheel spin from center off once it bottoms out.

              A bad RF shock will do it also. If it will not allow the chassis to roll onto the RF it will hold the LR down.
