Breaking in new 602 crate

I just got my new 602 started and put in Joe Gibbs break in oil in. How long should i run the motor with the break in oil in it .Should i just run it in the shop or run it in the motor when i have practice at the track then change it for opening nite. What the best gap for the spark plugs. I'm using NGK TR5.
