GM engines don't like NGK plugs to well.Have had some problems with them.Stay with the AC Delcos or an Autolite 104 for a steel head and 103 for aluminum heads.Autolites cheaper and just as good or better that the AC Delcos.Won't fuel foul

      you must be missing something

all we have used since day 1 is NGK

we have tested just about everything on the market and have always ended up with NGK

we don't use the specific crate TR # but the brand is definatly NGK
      R-5724-8 or R5724-9

Ditto, ran and won a lot of races with NGK plugs in our 604.

ANY plug will fuel foul, and if you are fuel fouling plugs don't blame the pluge correct the carb issue.

Brad, how does either of those plugs compare to the TR-55 in terms of heat range? I always figured both were quite a bit colder than a TR-55 and maybe too cold for the 602. Thanks

To be perfectly honest about your heat range question---I don't know

although we have tested many different plugs on the dyno for power increases ---we have not made extensive research into the actual make up of the different plugs.

when we started this GM crate venture in 2006 ----I immediatly contacted the best in the business for guidence----that was Bill Hendren

and one thing he turned me onto was the NGK R5724-8 and although the R&D never stops we still today feel it is the best plug for both engines

we use some 9's in certain circumstances but 8's will always work

Tried them on a dyno and the power fell off over NGK TR55. We cut the electrode to expose more spark and I believe that the 3 electrodes cover the spark to much.
