e85 fuel?

can i get some opinions in e 85 fuel. use it don't use it? reasons why. thanks

1. Makes more power.
2. Costs Less
3. Needs to be tested every time you get it as it is not consistant.
4. Needs an E85 carb to run it's best.
5. Some sanction bodies do not allow it.

My cousin uses it in his dragster and he really likes it.

I agree with everything ego wrote but let me expand a bit

I tell folks "its not a lazy man's fuel" just like ego said you must test all that you use

This time of the year it is very common to get E-70 we call it winter mix---this is used in the colder climates because the flex fuel cars do not start well on high contents of ethanol.

It is very hard to fix a low content mix so this time of the year can be pain in the a$$ if you run
e-85

In the summer months we have seen mixtures as high as 95% (e-95)
that is simple to fix----simply add some gasoline and retest

in all of our tests an actual 85% mix has worked best-----more is not better

also as ego stated the correct carb is nesessary for proper performance and driveability
