What would cause a 602 to blow flames consistently on deceleration out of the exhaust? Every time this car enters the corner it gets two identical flames out of each exhaust pipe. Any idea what would cause this?

Anyone not familiar with propylene, It is commonly referred to an "Ignitor". It can, and is used in Nitro Methane where rules allow . We ran it in Alcohol racing karts a few times too, it really wakes those things up! My understanding is it adds oxygen when it is burned? Someone will come along and better explain things, as my thought process is lacking tonight. But as others have stated, it is illegal in most if not all sanctioning bodies.

I am pretty sure that propylene-oxide is not what is responsible for the flames.
Propylene-Oxide is on the no sale list now days and is extremely carcinogenic, and on top of that you can smell it a mile away, and it will make your eyes and nose burn like acid even before the smell hits you. Anyway that crap is 60's fuel additive, the stuff we use now is 10 times better and makes more power and is almost non-detectable unless you know what to test for. The masking agent I use will load up and kill the $10,000 detection columns in most of the HPLC or IRGC testing machines used in high dollar fuel testing. Reason I know is my business is one of the only ones in the country set up to back-flush those High $$$ testing columns when they get over-loaded.
As for the fire out of the headers, I can tell you that under controlled testing those concussions are responsible for 100-200ft/# torque peaks at the rear wheels on the chassis dyno. My system is tunable and was perfected on Nascar Late model stocks with 350cfm 7448 carbs, prolly sold 200+ of them with the QuickCarb label on them. These carbs won about 250 of 300 NASCAR LMS races in the Southeast over a 3 year period as we had a Win Contingency program that paid race winners $100 product certificates and the total payout out of my pocket was about $26,000. It was a sweet deal and produced a lot of additional B to B for both of us.
Shortly after that I perfected it for 390 All-Pro Carbs and the owner of QuickCar ( Winder GA ) won a few races. Once we got that worked out we got a Pole with a BGN Car never had a pole before Akins Ford ( Winder GA). I leased the technology to a Ford engine builder and was evident for 5 years on the Winn-Dixie Whupping stick in BGN, followed by the Championships won by Biffle & Edwards in BGN and CTS. After that 5 year run I leased it to a Pontiac, Chevy, Toyota team for 2 consecutive 4 yr terms that just expired in 2011. I have built a couple Carbs last year for a local friend that had a 602 and he won a couple races against 604's and Limiteds = Dink21(Winder, GA ).
Got probably 20 running on house engines around the country and they are pretty dominant wherever they go.
You will have heard "Hollywood" Hammonds comment about a guy in the middle of nowhere that ciphered that deal out as him and Darrel both have run the system as it was on the Chrome car he ran at Charlotte. That car was Carl Longs and he made the race and then sold the spot to Darrell for his last ride at Charlotte. Darrell said it was the (not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)(not a nice word)dest thing he ever seen like getting kicked in the A$$-End by a mule.
Anyone that is doubtful should try and duplicate the effects on their own chassis dyno session, just make sure you have the car strapped down real good, cause if not it will jerk the car sideways the first time you do it and make a ton of tire smoke and just about launch the car off the dyno platform. Trust me, I have done it the first couple times I made it happen.

SNAP! Already took them, the only thing that helps is that Titanium Foil hat.
As far as wear and tear on the engine propylene is harder on you than it is on your engine. You could compare it to using steroids, too much and it will kill you not enough and it won't work.
You should probably cut the timing 4-6 degrees and up your jet about 1 number for every % Prop you use. Anything above 5% is getting on the verge of problems.

C10 You sound just like the rest of the folks on Rachel Maddow's show...
Nobody said to cheat, last time I checked there was no tech on fuel at most tracks. There are a couple fuels for sale to the public that use PO enantiomers and get by with it because the name is different.
Kinda like when they change 1 molecule in a drug, 1 design idea in a patent, or one ingredient in a food product to get around the laws, until they change the law it is 100% legal. I spent some time in the food industry and you know cheese and milk are Federally regulated on fat content. What if company A came up with a product to add to milk and cheese that tests like milk fat but costs pennies instead of dollars??? I know they would never put that crap in your food to eat, because it screws up the melt but saves BILLIONS...Major CEO's would never do that to the unassuming public would they. Ever wonder why you and your kid gets the craps or feel bad after eating? Anyway that is my ADD kicking in.
Tire softener is illegal right??? What if you use a tire treatment that is 100% undetectable and does not soften the tires but makes the car 1-2 second faster per lap, what do you think about that?
It is out there if you look hard enough.
