Race carb, out of the box, has the carb been run before on a race engine???
Is the power valve working in good order?
Is your accelerator pump working and what is the pump size and squirter size?

The dual plane intake didn't work well with the adapter plate and spacer I had, now its one with two holes directly down to intake.Comment

we have pretty good results out of a spacer/adapter that is simply an extension of the intake and opens a little bit of common plenum
next you need to get on a good air filter base----the increase will surprise you
