Aluminum sheet plastic

What's a good way to remove the protective coating on aluminum sheets if you can't peel it off? I have some old panels that have been outside and the plastic is not wanting to come off.

Never had that problem myself but I would start with a heat gun.

Heat gun like Matt said, or if you can get a corner to peel up use a spray bottle and isopropyl alcohol to soften it as you peel.
