What the average amount of fuel a 604 will use in a 25 lap race on a 1/2 mile?I know there are a few factors involved just looking for a ball park figure.Wanting to switch to a smaller 12 gallon tank.Thanks

we used 6-7 on gas and 10-12 on E85 don't know if i would use a 12 gal tank might suck air in corners on those long nights 18-22 would be a better choice i think. if you are trying to keep the weight up high i am a fan of the angled 32 tank. always liked a bigger tank to put extra fuel in when you need more rear % -
A friend of ours runs a 8gallon tank with his 602 with a 650carb on a 4/10 mile track for 25 laps with about 5-10 yellow laps each night and he never seems to have any trouble. Says he tops it off before the feature and comes in with plenty of fuel. He runs the track race gas. We personally have never used more than 5gal during a 25 lap feature at our big 3/8 track. We run a 12 gal.Comment
