    602 Rocker Studs

    What size are the rocker studs on the gm 602?
    What is reasonable seat pressure for valve springs before having to worry about pulling the studs out?

    They are 3/8" press-in. Don't know for sure on the seat pressure question, but I would think 100 to 110 would be a safe number.

      If you plan on installing heavier springs and turning more rpms, you also should plan on pinning the studs, since your springs will be illegal in tech the pinned studs will only help to keep from making a big mess if the stud pulls out.

      I have an outlaw spring that fits the bill and I sell it to a lot of IMCA racers, you can PM me your e-mail for further specs and pricing if you are interested. They fit stock 602 retainers and seats and run great at stock spring height. I have sold them to probably 50 - 602 racers (where spring rules are open to stock replacement springs) in the last couple years and they have picked up significant power along with +1000rpms pretty easy.

        IMCA does not permit stock replacement springs, sorry.

        I thought you had some press in studs with some special super duper rocker arms with a real heavy spring turning 8500 RPM?

          easy bypass for that pesky chip rule with dynomans special "chip" which i believe gets its signal from the mars rover. correct me if im wrong dynodouche.

            If you guys spent 14,000 hour per year on the inertia dyno like I do, you would know that to do this you have to put the rocker arms in upside down and change the firing order to 1-9-4-2-3-6-8-7. Where "9" sends a spark to the chassis which reverses polarity for a split second and fools the engine into thinking that is might be running backwards. But to do all this you must have the nine-cylinder distributor that I invented when I was working with Buzz Aldrin on landing gear servos for negative-gravity environments (since you guys already know EVERYTHING I won't bother explaining what negative-gravity is). I sold the rights on the distributor to an aerospace company and I can't tell you who it is because it's all classified information now but you can call Smokey Yunick's old secretary's daughter who is now married to Jeff Gordon's uncle and she can sell you one of the ones that we stashed away. I haven't seen them since we all went go-kart racing at Mario Andretti's house after we went to the Super Bowl together. Man could I tell you some stories on those guys.
            But you'll need a 17.83 volt system to make any of this work or you're wasting your time. I made about 2400 batteries for this type of setup but sold them all to F1 teams in a little under 60 days. If you PM me I can send you the plans for how to make one but if you don't use Cobol very much you won't understand the mathematical formulas that make the ionization process work. My time as a chemical engineer at Pizza Hut helped me hone this to a science using nothing more than the little cups they served dipping sauce in and the tubs from the buffet.

              Just for the record, he's running the 602 in an IMCA mod and it does not have to be sealed, so he's not trying to "cheat up" the motor.
