The HEI that comes with the 602 is plenty of spark for the motor. Are you having problems with it or do you not have one and need one?

Agreed, dont piss your money away on a $400 distributor, All the years before I had to have a DUI crate distributor, Last year I ran the one that came in the motor and had 14 feature wins.

did you advance your timing? or dyno tune? I just got mine off the dyno and the engine builder put different springs in the distributor...

So the engine builder didn't suggest locking out the distributor?

Leave the stock HEI and lock it out.....32-33 degrees timing and let 'er eat! The RPM's we found to the be the best was 6200-6300
